FutureYou [18-24 Programme]
Type of Opportunity:: Confidence Building, Education, Employment Skills, Life Skills, Study Programme, Support for Jobs and Apprenticeships

FutureYou aims to help young adults, aged 18-24, the necessary support and tools to assist them in career planning, getting ready for employment and ultimately helping them find the correct, sustainable post for them to kickstart their careers.

Given the impact Covid-19 has had on the younger population, many of these adults have become disengaged with finding work and preparing themselves for applications and interviews. This is where FutureYou comes in as a potential gateway for these individuals to receive the necessary guidance and resources to enter into the labour market.

Additional information:

FutureYou is aimed at GM residents aged 18-24 who are not in Education, Training or Employment. Once signed up onto the programme, learners are assigned a Key Worker who will be their main point of contact throughout their time on their programme.

Whilst on programme, learners have access to a wide range of resources ranging from an on-site Business Dev team that can match vacancies specific to said learners, to booking into non-accredited workshops such as "Confidence and Motivation" sessions and our accredited "Level 1 in Securing Employment" programme which is fully funded by the European Social Fund.

Our aim is to give young adults the opportunity to enter the labour market and, with our tailored support, into sustainable employment.

At FutureYou we strive for our learners to not be disadvantaged in receiving the support we offer, and we offer to totally reimburse travel costs and also can purchase clothes for interviews to make our learners not feel restricted by constraints such as their financial situation.
